With more than 37,000 people attending the 2008 festival, an influx of gear and merchandise, pro kayakers from around the world, and live music in the park, the Reno River Festival is the most anticipated event of the year. When else can you walk around downtown Reno, meet pro kayakers, do yoga in the park and challenge the mayor to a raft race while a lady in a cow suit chases a ballerina through a mud pit? From the 2008 inaugural launch of our infamous Run Amuck competition to the 2009 launch of the Roller Disco Kick-off Party, the festival is gaining momentum like never before. The 2009 festival will feature fun for the whole family (even cousin Eddie – if you lose him, check the beer garden). We've got free kayaking clinics, corporate team-building challenges, great food, bungee trampolines, a rock climbing wall and a long list of other activities we have to pass by legal first.
